Located between Gran Canaria, La Gomera and La Palma, Tenerife is one of the most famous islands of the Canaries for all tourism services offered, being the largest of the Canary Islands and the most populated island of Spain. With several sites listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the rugged island terrain and its variety of climates result in multiple landscapes and landforms, including laurel forests to wild natural sandy beaches such as the Medano. The island of Tenerife enjoys a remarkable ecological diversity due to its variety of micro-climates, being home to numerous plant and animal species, many of them endemic. Tours of all kinds and a climate of eternal spring and summer add value to this destination. Its National Park is a must for lavas contrasts and colors. Its waters have excellent visibility and temperatures ranging between 64.4° F (winter) and 80.6° F (summer) and are home to many species of the Atlantic including groupers, abbots, bream, dentex, and snappers. There are also loggerheads and permanent colonies of whales and dolphins that inhabit the southern coast of the island. There are thirty dive sites scattered around the coast where you can not only discover an interesting marine life but also wrecks. Among the best places for diving, among others, are Cookies, Paradise Beach and Point of the South Scratch and Garachico, Puerto de la Cruz and Punta de Teno North.
