Phi Phi Marine National Park comprises a group of 6 islands. These islands have white sandy beaches, stunning coral reefs and lush vegetation. Phi Phi Don is the main island and its geography is unique. It consists of two bays that sit back to back with a narrow strip of land between them. Underwater, towers and caves have been shaped into the soft limestone. Other dive sites include vertical walls that plunge from the surface to more than 82 ft. On these walls are a profusion of soft corals, black corals and long sea whips. There are several types of corals species that can only be found in the waters surrounding the Phi-Phi islands, including a white coral that has the shape of a Christmas tree, including small decorations! It is common to see leopard sharks sleeping peacefully on the sand.
