Maldives (translated "thousand islands") located about 248 miles south of India, are about 1200 small islands grouped into 26 coral atolls that rise to the surface from depths of up to 656 ft, creating an idyllic and heavenly landscape. With excellent weather most of the year and some of the best depths in the world for diving, the islands are formed by groups of vegetation surrounded by huge white sand beaches lapped by turquoise waters. The entire archipelago is full of dive sites where we can find the typical species of tropical fish (butterfly, clown, surgeon) and many shark species (white tip and black tip reef, sandbar shark, etc), stunning schools and whale sharks passing by. The water temperature is around 78.8 to 82.4 ° F and visibility is excellent all year round, making the Maldives a paradise for diving and a spectacular vacation site.
