The Fiji Islands are known as "the Soft Coral Capital of the World" and is also home to the Great Astrolabe Arrecibe, a network of brilliant coral reefs of 333 islands and atolls. With around 1,000 species of fish and hundreds of types of coral and sponges, Fiji offers a unique diving experience. With more than 400,000 hectares of coral reefs, Fiji offer unparalleled marine biodiversity.

Adventures in reefs also offer encounters with gray reef sharks, silvertips, hammerheads and white tips. If you want to get to know them a little better and closer with a great adrenaline rush, you can try what is known as the "best diving with sharks in the world."
If you're looking for an amazing experience at a slightly slower pace, you can swim with giant manta rays. Between May and October you can see these elegant creatures bless the waters of Manta Ray Island. Manta Rays are one of the largest fish in the ocean. Fiji is also home to five species of turtles, the most famous being the hawksbill turtle, now a protected species. The moderate water temperature means diving can be practiced throughout the year and clear visibility is perfect for underwater photographers.
